Double Win at the Global Good Finance Awards 2025

Wednesday 24 September 2025 marked a milestone moment – not just for Paradigm Norton, but for the entire sustainable finance community. For the first time, in a decade the Global Good Awards introduced a dedicated finance awards: the Global Good Finance Awards. And we’re proud to say we made history with two incredible wins on this inaugural stage.

Held at BMA House in London, the ceremony brought together pioneers across sustainability, social impact, ethical innovation, and with the launch of the finance awards, marks a significant expansion recognising the critical role finance plays in shaping a better future.

Silver for Our Investment Committee – Sustainable Finance Team of the Year

Our outstanding Investment Committee – David, Dan, Edd, Farida, Heather, Jonathan, Lee and Steve were awarded Silver in the Sustainable Finance Team of the Year category. Their collaborative efforts and commitment to sustainable investing have been central to our success and recognition on this global stage.

David Burridge, our Investment Committee chair commented…

“We care deeply about doing good, and so this award is really encouraging for us and one we’re proud of. We know there is a tonne more work to do to get to a place where capital markets are truly working for people and planet – but this award provides us a real morale boost with external validation that our efforts are achieving something.

I’m constantly amazed at how much the investment team at Paradigm Norton manages to achieve in addition to their day jobs. It’s a joy to lead such an awesome team and I feel very grateful. Onwards and upwards, we have big plans!”

We especially love this photo of Steve Watters and Farida Hassanali collecting their certificate – an image that perfectly captures the pride and joy of the evening.

Gold for Steve Watters – Sustainable Finance Leader of the Year

Steve Watters, our Head of Impact, was awarded Gold in the Sustainable Finance Leader of the Year category. Steve’s visionary leadership has been instrumental in redefining responsible investing at Paradigm Norton. From transforming our investment approach to embedding philanthropy, our B Corp accreditation and driving industry-wide change, Steve continues to lead with integrity, intellect and ambition.

A second award for Steve this year, after he received the Leading Individual in Wealth for Good (UK) at the Wealth for Good Awards earlier this year.

Steve shared his reflections on the night:

“We were absolutely inspired by the incredible nominees and fellow winners at last night’s awards. We’re honoured our work was recognised so highly by the judges and inspired how the Global Good Awards are shining a light on the vital role finance plays in shaping a better future. A brilliant night of celebration, powerful conversations and a call for all of us to rise to the challenge!”

The Global Good Awards 2025

A Night to Remember

The Global Good Awards have long championed organisations and individuals driving positive change across sustainability, social impact and ethical innovation through their high conviction awards. True to their rigorous standards, golds are only awarded when judges believe they are genuinely deserved – with some categories this year receiving only silver or below. This year marked a significant evolution with the launch of the Global Good Finance Awards – a new category recognising the transformative power of finance in building a better world. The awards are known for their rigorous judging process, and once again were led by a panel of seasoned experts from across finance, sustainability and innovation.

The ceremony was a celebration of purpose-driven leadership, featuring plant-based dining, sustainable fizz and a relaxed theatre-style presentation. It brought together changemakers from across sectors, sparking powerful conversations about how finance can and must be a force for good. The evening highlighted the growing momentum behind sustainable finance and the role of collaboration in accelerating impact.

Looking Ahead

These awards are more than just accolades – they’re a reflection of the values we hold dear and the direction we’re heading. As we continue to push boundaries in sustainable investing, we’re energised by the recognition and inspired to keep leading with purpose.

Congratulations to Steve and the entire Investment Committee! Here’s to continuing our journey of impact, innovation and integrity.
