People Assistant – Bristol

Are you organised, proactive and enjoy supporting others? Then we have the perfect role for you! We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic People Assistant to join our People team and make a real impact!

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the People team by providing essential administrative and operational support, ensuring that our people-related functions run smoothly and efficiently.

Please note that this is a part-time position, and we are open to discussions of what this will look like for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

General People Support and Administration:

  • Act as a point of contact for partners’ people-related queries.
  • Maintain our partner files, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with GDPR requirements.
  • Maintain and update our HR system (PeopleHR).
  • Generate employment contracts, offer letters, and other people-related documents.
  • Manage the people team inbox and ensure timely responses to people-related emails.
  • Support with ad-hoc projects and administration tasks, such as the monitoring of training and development records and programs.

Benefits:

  • Working with the People Manager, ensure the facilitation of benefits runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Assist in the management, administration and annual review, of our benefits programs, such as health insurance, pension schemes, and employee assistance programs.
  • Support partners with benefit-related queries and support them during the enrolment process.

Recruitment:

  • Support the People Manager with coordinating interviews, and communicating directly with candidates.
  • Support with all recruitment administration.

Onboarding and Offboarding:

  • Support with the onboarding process for new partners, such as running the required pre-employment checks and creating induction schedules.
  • Support the offboarding process by updating records, and running the appropriate administration processes.

About you

  • Previous experience in administrative roles, though it would be advantageous to have experience of working within an HR team.
  • Knowledge of people principles, policies, and practices.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
  • Enjoys supporting supporting people and improving processes.
  • A strong communicator with the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive people matters.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and PeopleHR (or other HR system).
